1. About Hellocals

Hellocals is a platform that connects local residents (Locals) with travelers (Explorers) for authentic activities — coffee, walks, museums, or simply a conversation. Hellocals is not a tourism agency, marketplace, or professional services platform. It is a human connection network.

By creating an account and using Hellocals, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Hellocals. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@hellocals.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not create multiple accounts, impersonate others, or use automated means to access the platform.

4. Locals and Explorers

Locals are responsible for the accuracy of the activities they publish, including availability, location, and description. Activities must reflect genuine, everyday experiences — not professional services or paid tours.

Explorers are responsible for their conduct when participating in activities. The match is approved by the Local, and both parties agree to meet in good faith.

Hellocals does not guarantee the occurrence of any activity and is not responsible for the actions of any user before, during, or after a meeting.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for commercial, promotional, or paid service purposes
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Share false, misleading, or offensive content
• Collect or misuse other users' personal data
• Attempt to circumvent safety features or moderation systems
• Use the platform for any unlawful activity

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.

6. Content

You retain ownership of content you publish on Hellocals (profile info, activity descriptions, messages). By posting, you grant Hellocals a limited, non-exclusive license to display and use that content to operate the platform.

Do not post content that is illegal, harmful, discriminatory, or that violates the rights of third parties.

7. Safety

Your safety is important to us. We encourage users to meet in public places, inform someone of their plans, and trust their instincts. Hellocals provides reporting and blocking tools, but cannot guarantee the behavior of any user.

If you experience or witness unsafe behavior, please report it immediately using the in-app report feature or contact us at hello@hellocals.com.

8. Limitation of Liability

Hellocals is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages resulting from your use of the platform, including interactions with other users, activity cancellations, or technical issues.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Hellocals after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
